Yikes! It has been a while since I've posted anything.
Inside the box!
PHILOSOPHY // Purity 3-in-1 cleanser
I don't care how overrated this product is, I love it! Ever since my Sephora friend Sher gave me a sample of it to try with my Clarisonic Mia 2 (yep, I have one of those too) I fell in love. I love the smell and the texture and to get my hands on any size bottle of this stuff, is an opportunity I cannot miss. I'm surprised how expensive it is, but then again, the Vichy cleanser I used to use isn't too far from comparison. Anyways, if you have not tried this cleanser, do it now! Who cares about hype—embrace it~
JUST CAVALLI // Just perfume
I'm not a fan of Cavalli, so I knew I most likely wasn't going to like this scent. I was right. It wasn't terribly unbearable, but I spilled some on my hands and when I was eating my dinner, I could smell it and it wasn't very pleasant. If you're a fan of floral perfumes, this one's for you
CLINIQUE // High Impact mascara
Whoo~ more mascara samples to try! While I'm pretty true and dear to my Lancome Hypnose, I do like trying new things whenever I can. I don't think I've ever actually tried anything by Clinique, now that I think about it... Hopefully this won't be a disappointment.
CAKE // Heavy Cream intense hand repair balm
Holy wow, does this stuff ever smell delicious! Love anything with a vanilla scent, especially for the hands. I've heard so much about Cake products so I was glad to finally have my chance to finally try one out. Very pleased to have gotten a hand repair balm/lotion because my hands get very dry, especially after washing my hands with evil anti-bacterial soaps or even using sanitizer. This will definitely be my new favorite!
CONDITION CULTURE // Knotties
I freaking love these! They're so adorable and cute. Although I'm not a hair tie type of girl, I think these are fantastic. I usually only tie my hair when I wash my face, get too hot or am straightening or dying my hair. Look forward to using these or even just having them on my wrists as a cute accessory.
ESSIE // Sleek Stick nail appliques in Sneek-e
These look so cool, I don't want to use them! I have yet to try essie's nail appliques so I hope these will last long when I wear them. I also love the design with the silver color as well.
KERASTASE // Elixir Kultime
I believe I've gotten this sample before, but never really used it/tried it out. I'm not really into finishing products as I find it make me have to wash my hair more frequently. I did however try this out. It kind of just seems like perfume for your hair. I didn't notice much added shine or anything and thankfully the scent isn't overbearing either. May give it another go some time.
VICHY // Aqualia Thermal Night Spa
So this is pretty much one of the main reasons why I got this particular box. I'm a huge Vichy whore and I love their stuff. I had seen this in stores when I went to pick up my refill of Vichy's Aqualia Thermal Riche cream. I was hesitant to buy a whole 50ml jar of this, so I told myself that if I could try it as a sample, I would. And so, here is my sample at last! I use my Vichy Rice cream as a night cream, so that's why I thought maybe this could be better. Can't wait to try it out and see how it does.
VICHY // Liftactiv Serum 10 Eyes & Lashes
This caught me a bit off guard. Lashes?. Yup, apparently your eyelashes age as well and so this serum was made to help your eye area by brightening it and tightening the area. I'm definitely curious to see how this works!
Ah, Olay. I dislike Olay's products because they're generic and broad. They don't cover specific extremes of the skin spectrum at all. I already know that anything that is light to medium will be too dark for my skin. I applied it to my arm first and BAM. INSTANT OMPA LOOMPA. The more you rub it in though, the lighter it gets, but even stil, it's too orangey for me. I've been wanting to try a CC cream, but I already knew it would be disappointing from a brand like Olay. I will have to stick with my korean BB cream for now.
Overall, this season's luxebox was awesome! I really liked a majority of the box's items so it made the money worth it. If you're interested in purchasing your own luxebox subscription (Canadian Residents & now US residents only!) can sign up for $25 a season (quarterly—every 3 months) by clicking here. It's definitely worth it :D
