I was quite hesitant to post this review of this month's Glossybox as I was extremely disappointed with it. I will give GB the benefit of the doubt because they're not perfect and they do an excellent job curating each box each month and sooner or later, there comes something we won't like.
This month's theme is "Metropolitain Chic".
Here's what's inside:
MODELCO // Cheek & Lip Tint in Rosy Red
I first thought this was a perfume sample, but I was wrong. I'm in love with the packaging, but I never understood the whole lip/cheek tint thing. I think liquid blush is disgusting. Then again, I'm not a blush person so whatever.
JERGENS // Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer
Another product that I think is useless. I don't understand the concept of wanting to have a "glow"/tan and to do it unnaturally with a product. I love my pale skin so much that I do everything and anything to avoid the sun turning it color (yes, I even own SPF 110 sunscreen). So we're 0 for 2 in products that I like in this month's box.
L'OREAL PARIS // Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Serum
Again, another useless product! I'm lucky enough to not have any dark spots because I stay out of the sun. Also, I'm still fairly young enough that I shouldn't really be getting any. I did offer it up to my mom and she instantly snatched it from my hands. Glad someone likes it.
TRESEMME // Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment
Gah! I can't stand Tresemme's products! I have never ever been impressed by anything that I have tried from them and I definitely won't be excited to give this one a try. This is an instant pass.
BM BEAUTY // Eyeshadow in Platinum Tiara
This is probably, maybe the only thing I like in this box. It's a nice silver, grey shade that I know should work okay for me. It's just that I have quite a few silvery shadows already. This product is also a 100% natural mineral formula and is cruelty free, and vegan.
I don't even want to go over how I felt about this box again. I'm pretty disappointed and will have fingers crossed for a better box next month.
bleh... i thinkeveryone is tired with receiving glossy boxes. Too many drugstore brands D:
ReplyDeleteYep! I'm seeing less and less of these kinds of posts for these subscription services because they eventually tend to start lacking. I wouldn't mind it if they did something like Loose Button is doing by releasing a box every 3 months. It gives them time to find awesome products for a good box (plus it's nicer on the wallet too)
