Glossybox Canada | February 2013

Another month, another Glossybox. I realize that all my posts have been sparse in content, but I don't have to answer to no one.

This month's Glossybox is a birthday celebration box for Glossybox's 2nd birthday.

I love this month's colors. It's a nice change from the dull pink.

GIVENCHY // Gloss Interdit No.3 Coral Frenzy
Alas, I can finally try an actual beauty item from Givenchy. I own a few perfumes, but there's something glamorous about trying out the cosmetics. The gloss is a nice nude color that is actually quite flattering to my skintone. The formula is a bit thick, but not too sticky. The applicator is a really nice brush applicator, which is a refreshing change from the standard doe foot.

ESSENCE // Quattro Eyeshadow in Chic-ify
This palette is super gorgeous and fairly pigmented over a white base, however I failed to find a flattering combination for my eyes. I generally don't like dark colors and I have terrible control with them and they end up getting smudged all over no matter what I do. These colors are definitely complimentary to blue eyes, which was nice to have.

BIORE // Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
I've been handed countless samples of these strips, but because I would only get one at a time, they usually ended up at a bottom of a drawer or my garbage. I can now finally try these out properly as I've been actually recently wanting to start using these again. I've been noticing blackheads appearing on my nose lately so these couldn't have come at a better time.

MACADAMIA // Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment
I've seen this product around and much like all other hair things, I don't really have a need for them. However for those interested, this product is said to be a theraputic treatment oil for all hair types, and it ads moisture and nutrients for shine and whatnot.

Ah, another generous sized sample that will go to no use (at least for me). Unfortunately I am one of very few girls who detests the smell of roses. The smell is just so off-putting for me. The jasmine does however balance it out a bit, but I'm pretty satisfied with my current body cleanser and will pass this on to someone else to try.

EUCERIN // Hyal-Urea Anti-Wrinkle Day/Night Cream Sache Duo
This is a new product sample of Eucerin's new daily and overnight care for dry and very dry facial skin.

CRABTREE AND EVELYN TAROCCO // Orange Eucalyptus and Sage Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Theraphy Sachet
This is actually a nice and pleasant sample! I wish it came in a little tube so that I didn't have to waste the entire sachet after a one time use. There was a nice light orange scent, which is something I appreciate because I don't like the smell of a strong orange smell on my hands. It's the reason why I don't eat mandarins or tangerines. This is a new product and apparently we'll be receiving a full size product in an upcoming box! Fingers crossed for the same sample.

** BONUS **

GLOSSYBOX // Cupcake Kit
I have to say, this is a very unique item to find in my box! A pleasant surprise at that too. I'm not huge for cupcake toppers/decoratives, but they're both a set and I love to bake, so these will definitely be used in the foreseeable future.

So that's it for this month. This month was quite generous as a majority of the samples were full size and range across a variety of different kinds of beauty products. If you are interested in signing up for Glossybox, you may do so for $21 a month by clicking here.

  1. Ooh, I wouldn't mind finding a Givenchy gloss in my mailbox. Aside from a Chanel perfume, I don't own any high-end make-up or perfumes! It does have that air of glamour.
Aah, I hate the smell of orange on my hands as well! I thought I was just crazy .. haha. Sometimes I cave and eat a tangerine, but that damn smell :(

    1. haha yay, glad I'm not the only one who's like that when it comes to oranges. Yes, every now and then I will eat them, I just make sure someone else peels them for me :x

I don't own many high-end products either, so it's definitely nice to get some samples :D
