Loose Button Luxebox | Winter 2012

A little late on posting this since I've been busy. I received my Luxebox a few days ago and like last time in the fall, I was excited to see what was inside—especially since this time around I had purchased a box for my mother for xmas since she always eyes mine when I get mine.

This month's box's items came in a really nice, eloquent bag—you could almost say it's like a delicates bag—with a draw string.

Here's what came inside.

EYEKO // Mini Skinny Brush Mascara
The brush for this mascara isn't the greatest, but I like the packaging and size. It's great to take on the go and keep with me in a bag. The formula isn't anything significantly special, but it doesn't flake as much.

ESSIE // nail polish in She's Pampered
I was so excited to see an essie polish in my box, especially since I've been going on an essie spree and have some how managed to almost collect the entire Winter 2012 collection :x Anyways, I'm not a fan of red nail polishes, but I like this one. I just find red super plain and normal when it comes to nail polish. It's strange because I love the color red :') I was a little worried at first when I first received this because I thought it was Snap Happy from the same collection, which is an orangey-red color. Here's the two by comparison:

KERASTASE // Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide
Luminous Perfecting Essence For Dry Lengths or Ends. Rebalances the hair fiber. Roots are left pure and weightless. Sounds good to me! My roots are always first to become limp and greasy so I'm hoping that this will put a little bit more of life into them so that I won't have to worry about my gross, greasy hair so often :')

DONNA KARAN // Woman
I'm hit or miss when it comes to perfume. Thankfully my mom is Donna Karan fan so I gave this to her. I really love that it was a mini bottle and not those small tester tubes. I hope to see more of these in the future of different brands. My mom got CK Euphoria in her box, which she also likes, so double score for her ;)

DERMALOGICA // Precleanse
The first step of the Dermalogica Double Cleanse for your cleanest skin ever! Nourishing Oilve, Apricot and Kukui Nut oils cut through make-up, sunscreens and oil-based debris, readying them for easy removal. Add water to transform this hydrophilic (water-loving) formula into a milky emulsion that lifts debris from the skin’s surface, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors. Sounds great and smells good too, however I'm happy with my current cleanser, but it's always nice to try alternatives. I also like how it's like a milky feel, much like the cleanser I currently use, so it's already got points in my book.

B.KAMINS // Day Lotion SPF 15
Perfect! I'm always looking for products that offer SPF sun protection since I'm ridiculously sensitive to the sun, especially on my face, so this will be great to tote around with me. I have tried B.KAMINS before from Glossybox and they seem to be making their way out from the underground almost.

OSIS+ // dust it mattifying hair powder
I was offered this particular product as part of LB's first in line program. Again, going back to the greasy roots thing, I'm always wanting to try as many different products and variations of pretty much dry shampoo. I also adore the packaging. Really neat.

LOOSE BUTTON // kabuki brush
This is really cool! I've been wanting to buy a new kabuki brush since my old one from Shoppers is really gross and nasty right now and I can't be bothered to clean it. The bristles are really nice and soft on the skin. Can't wait to use it.

So once again, Loose Button has done it! Ever since they changed their service back in the summer, they've improved tremendously to become pretty much my favorite subscription service! The only downside to their new service is waiting the 3 months for each box, but it's totally worth it and their first 2 boxes of this new change have been nothing but pleasing! Great job Loose Button.

If you're interested in signing up for Loose Button's seasonal Luxe Box, you may do so by clicking here for only $26 a box!

Also, if you haven't found out yet, but Loose Button has recently opened its own boutique a while back and even offered its current members a $5 coupon, which I instantly redeemed for some essie nail polishes, which came in a lovely organza bag and a nice handwritten, personal note from LB
