Sugarpill Look + Review

Finally, I can post this review~ I've been extremely excited about Sugarpill Cosmetics ever since I first laid eyes on it within the beauty blog community. I've been dying to purchase stuff from them, but because I was previously unemployed for about 5 months, I just couldn't do it. Finally, as a treat for getting a job, I decided to purchase from them during their Birthday sale back in February.

I grabbed myself Asylum, Goldilux, and Tiara. Plus, I got a sample of Lumi, which was a color I was about to purchase, but decided not to and actually hoped that I would get a sample of it. Way to go Sugarpill for reading my mind!

I must say, I was surprised by how small the jars are. I don't know why, but for some reason I thought they would be bigger, or at least that's how they looked when other people reviewed them, so that's my fault.

I was a little disappointed with the packing of the jars. When I opened the box of Asylum, I had found that the lid wasn't properly screwed on, so there was glitter every where. Thankfully not a lot was wasted. However, upon opening my Tiara jar, I noticed that it wasn't as filled as my other 2 colors, as seen below.

Regardless of those things, I'm still very happy to finally own these. I definitely have 0 regrets. I was surprised however by how sparkly everything is! But it's a good surprise.

Here are my swatches over Urban Decay Potion Eyeshadow Primer. From left to right: Asylum, Tiara, Goldilux, Lumi.

I cannot believe how beautifully pigmented the colors are! They're gorgeous and I kind of don't even want to use it haha. After applying it on my eyes though however, it was extremely sparkly and the sparkles went all over. I'm going to assume that's my fault because I first put it on loosely, but then after I mixed it with water and it stuck better. I shall practice.

So here's a look I quickly put together using Goldilux and Asylum:

What I used:
UD Primer Potion
UD Eyeshadow in Sin (brow bones)
Sugarpill Goldilux
Sugarpill Asylum
NYX Jumbo Eyeliner Pencil in Milk
Wet'n'Wild Mascara
Quo Fake Lashes

I blended Asylum and Goldilux together to create the orange color.
