Glymm has arrived! And I think I may have gotten it early because they don't have their product info up yet for the items, so I'll probably have to come back and update things. For now, I'll try navigating their website/Facebook for info.
I was expecting another color variation of the past 3 months' bags, maybe green...or purple! But nope, I was surprised with this interesting black, shiny, embossed makeup bag. Here's what was inside:
ATELIER ORANGE // Vanille Insensée Cologne
I was excited to see this because I loved their Orange-scented perfume I got from them a few months ago. I was especially eager to try it since vanilla is mentioned in the name. To my disappointment, it wasn't a pleasant smell on my part. I definitely didn't realize that it was cologne. However though, as far as colognes go, this one is actually decent and not so strong and musky. A lot of colognes make my nose hurt and eyes water; this one does not. I of course won't be wearing it, but the postcard makes up for it. Full size of 200mL runs for $190 CAD (yikes!)
NAKED PRINCESS // Naked Shine Luscious Lip Gloss in Barely Blush
This is the cutest little sample I have ever seen as far as lip gloss goes! Such a tiny sample. I'm glad they picked a nice shade for me as I prefer light pink glosses. With this gloss, it stimulates collagen, is a non-tacky formula with a gentle lip plumper. I didn't bother photographing a swatch as I didn't really notice any plumping going on with the lips after I left it on for a few minutes (and even now as I'm writing this). Full size retails for $26 CAD.
VITAMINE & SEA // Mineral Clay Mask
I am actually excited to try this out! I've never tried a clay mask before, but have heard many good things about them. This particular product is an ultra rich source of minerals that will eliminate toxins, promote circulation, cleanse and strengthen tissue. It also reduces damage from free radicals and balances your skin’s moisture, giving it a soft, tight, radiant and youthful glow. And an added bonus: it's for all skin types! Full size jar retails for $62 CAD.
THE LAUNDRESS // Delicate Wash Lady Detergent
This is definitely interesting! I wouldn't call it a beauty product however, but it does make your delicates beautiful! It cleans effectively yet remains gentle on specialty fabrics. Contains enzymes to remove perspiration, body oils and stains. Scented in Lady, a rich amber with crisp citrus complemented by a balance of green herbal notes. Effective in all water temperatures and systems. Dermatologist recommended. A full size bottle of 500mL retails for $16 CAD.
MAI COUTURE // Blush Papier in Venice Beach
I hate blush. I think it's the dumbest piece of makeup ever, along with bronzer. I do like the idea of it being in paper form however. I probably won't try this product, especially since it's the darkest shade that they offer. Looking at Glymm's website, I wish they would have given me the blotting papers or the ones that control blemishes or even the foundation one! A full size pack of 50 sheets retails for $19 CAD.
BENTABERRY // G-1 moisturizing Face cream for boys and girls
Hooray for face creams! This one makes skin mattified, soothed and balanced while reducing and diminishing redness and blemishes. I can deal with that! Excited to try this out. I especially LOVE its packaging, along with the rest of the line from Bentaberry. Regular size of 30mL retails for $22 CAD
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this month's bag. There weren't any full sized products and the samples seem small. I will however continue with Glymm because I love their efforts to get out these indie/small name companies out there for me to try. I also liked that they included samples from companies that I have tried out in the past, so that I wont only know their names from the one product I sampled.
